Ha! I was about to say I am always searching for a ding-free-zone when I park. Maybe I let it slide after a car gets to be 10 years old with 200,000 miles.
I'm telling you this from personal experience...once it becomes a habit, it never goes away - no matter what you're driving. ;)

But seriously, I've had vehicles that have eluded dings for decades and/or hundreds of thousands of miles.

And for the few unlucky moments I've had, there's..PDR!(y)

I do not like the photos of the Honda body side molding. I do not like the little ripple or the profile. I want a plain unpainted molding, black plastic, about 2" wide, that I can amour-all. I found an after market company on the internet and will look to buy them that way, plus they will be cheaper. With all the blacked out windows and around the wheel-wells and all, black body side molding will not look out of place

I'm not a fan of the side moldings either and I don't see how they will really protect the car from other careless drivers. Some kind of ceramic paint protect might be a safer bet, even though it would cost a lot more to have done. I feel like no matter how far away I park, I always come out to find my vehicle surrounded lol.

Looks like the Passport side molding should be applied about 6" further up than specified to protect it from the swinging doors of other SUVs, especially full size SUVs that fill-up the width of a parking spot.

IF I put on Body Side Molding (And I'm still undecided) I would NOT put the Honda ones, - I hate the way they look.

IF I install them, I would get an all Black (not body-colored), Molding, about 1.75 to 2.0 wide, that you could Amour-All

See, I’m just the opposite. I want them to blend into the car as much as possible. I never polished them on my Pilot, and they looked fine to me.
I have them on my 2017 Pilot and I love the look of them (they are the same Part #s as the Pilot.)

I've been getting lots of exercise lately by parking really far from anyone else in the parking lot. :)
Lol, I have always done that. I park well away, usually in a corner where there is only parking on one side of me.

Just installed them, simple install. Bought from Benardi’s. Nobody likes door dings.

Running boards, body side moldings, moonroof visor, splash guards

Awesome thank you for the pics. I will definitely be getting the side moldings when the time comes. I realize they are more for looks than protection, I have them on my 2017 Pilot and really like them.
