I bought my Passport Touring on Saturday and paid a touch over $38,500 and was amazed to hear what others are paying in the SoCal area. Stories of people paying $1k to $2k over MSPR is insane let alone paying MSRP. Are the majority of people negotiating or just paying sticker to get a Passport in their garage?

Worst thing is that everyone who pays over MSRP is only justifying that markup to the dealership. I don't know why people don't spend a bit more time shopping around to see where they can get the best offer. Good to hear there are more reasonable prices out there.

So. Cal must be starting to deal. Offered EX-L (Blue) at $36,500 + $1000 worth of dealer options I don't want but the "can't" remove like 3M security something, the door protectors, nitrogen in tires blah, blah, blah. If they can knock some of the extras off I'll probably pull the trigger.

I do
DKrack, based on my efforts around here, what you are quoted is a great deal. I'd pull the trigger on that now.

Yeah, its fair I think. I do think the passport is priced wrong...and I will probably get hammered here for this but I'm still thinking of that Jeep Grand Cherokee too. I looked at 4runner long and hard too and though I love its off road capability , you have to consider daily commute too. Gas mileage isn't "great" on passport. I've been driving Hondas long time and couldn't wait for PP to come out but i wasn't like WOW. ..and Im not digging these gear shifters. People need a darn knob to grab. Anyway, on the fence but I do think considering price, my color choice..I may do it.

I love the look of 4runner and GC... way more than passport. 4runner is dated and geared more for offroad, The GC? I would look long and hard at the WK2 forum. 1. Fiat ruined jeep and every other brand it now owns. 2.Jeep mechanics won't even buy one now, look at the service center of a local jeep dealer.. very very busy! Also I got burned bad on 2 jeep lemons but that's a long story

First tell me you don't sell Hondas lol!..Seriously, my apprehension has been the negative reports but then every time I talk to someone who has the JGC...they LOVE them..but I hear what you are saying.I pass my hondas down to my sons so I know what I'm getting. I have never owned a jeep.

I don't sell any car, I had 2 2015 jeep fiat lemons, one they bought back the other I offloaded the day they released a software update (prematurely) because a GC ran over and killed the Star Trek actor in his driveway. Jeep had a great thing going until fiat ruined them. They can not write software if you paid them double. I would love to pay 6k more for a larger more capable vehicle with more luxury, better sound etc...but sadly it's a fiat. Google fiat reliability.. Sorry off topic but was called out on warning someone. oh yes I'm sure there are thousands that rave about the WK2.. again, ask them how many loaner cars they've been in, air suspension, its crap and cost a fortune out of warranty.
