Good morning all,
I have been kicking around the idea of purchasing a cargo cover for my Passport. I have always had one for my other vehicles. I always thought by haveing a cargo cover it reduces the cabin area making it easier to cool & Heat.
Any of you guys have one?
Is it easy to use?
Is it hard to reach?
Is it worth the money?

I've had one before and briefly considered it for the Passport given the obvious mounting points. But I rarely used the one I had in the past and it was just in the way more than anything. The extra tint will handle concealing whatever is back there in addition to the underneath storage. As far as the easier to cool/heat aspect, maybe, but the ceramic 85% heat rejection tint will handle that too.

I had one of these for a previous vehicle. Never used it. Ended up keeping it in the garage somewhere.

I don't know how it is in the Passport, but I stopped using rear cargo covers years ago when I realized that my back windows were so dark that it was almost impossible to see inside anyway. The cover was just a hassle that often needed to be removed.

I'm a bit skeptical as to whether it would affect heating or AC very much - if at all.

I have one in my CR-V and just ordered one for my Passport. I like having the visual barrier between any stuff back there and snooping eyes.

Interesting thought. I think any potential impact on heating/cooling would be from a reduction in cargo area volume due to items stored back there. If its just the cargo cover with no cargo, which still allows air flow and doesn't seal off the area, I don't think there would be much of an impact.

I have one and don't like it as it really limits the amount of "stuff" you can put in the cargo area and still have to cover pulled into position. I do not recommend this.

I have not measured the distance form the cargo bed to the cover but I believe it is not over 15".

Just installed. I like it, but I'm also not planning on hauling much that would be taller than the cover, so I'll probably use it as much as I did as the CR-Z, which was most of the time.

Nice//I’m a believer in theses just to keep beady eyes off my nice bike tires and now there may be a heating and cooling benefit which wasn’t even on my radar

Hmm. This is what I have for my 2009 CR-V

My cargo cover for the Passport is due tomorrow and I was expecting the same attachments to the rear seat headrests. I just went and looked at the photo and I guess I didn't notice there are none. I'll see how it looks tomorrow.

The gap is there because of the reclining rear seats?
How much did it cost?
Is only 2/3’s of the cover retractable?
I think it looks really nice!

Had one in our 4Runner, had one in our Venza and HAVE on in my wife's Lexus RX350, they were really in the way MORE than we actually used them, so I don't plan on getting on for my Passport, in fact, I kinda like driving with the rear seats folded down, so I have the nice flat bed back there and can here the thump of the sub better...

PS: I kept the Cargo Net from our Venza, when we traded it in for our daughters Accord a few years ago and it fits perfect in the Passport...

I received my cargo cover earlier today. With the back seats in the normal upright position, I measure a 4 to 4.5 inch gap. With the seats fully reclined, the gap shrinks to about 2 inches as below:

The cover looks good, so I'll find a way to make it work.

Might have left out the seat back fillers in case someone forgot they were attached when they hit the button to lay them flat.
