Ah, Canadian models for the auto-leveling headlight. I had them on a Lexus RX350 and didn't care for them. They were set too low. At night on low beam I didn't feel safe driving on a dark road above 35mph. The dealer said they were set at factory specs and they would night adjust them higher.

With the Lexus I could see them set themselves immedaitely upon starting the engine, by watching the beams against the garage wall. During routine driving, never saw them "moving". I believe the purpose of them is to compensate for a heavy load or passengers in the back.

Today I actually saw the light moving down a little when I started the car. I wasn't towing or having anything heavy in the trunk, so not sure why it did move.
As I said in my previous post the Lexus RX350 I had would auto-level the headlights every time it was started. I think it's kind of like a calibration procedure... leveling based in the weight in the car irregardless of whether it changed from the last time you started the car. I'm guessing the Passport's auto leveling headlights work the same way.
