I agree that without a center armrest I am probably not going to your purchase is a passport. Does anybody know where you can get one custom-made, what type of shop or business would do that?

Check with an automotive upholstery shop or a shop that does custom cars. One or the other can build/install anything you want along the lines of a center armrest. Personally I think the center console design and the armrests are one of the best interior features of the Passport. I had the same interior on my 2017 Ridgeline.
