I have this exact same problem where I'm on the phone (iPhone Xs; iOS 12.3.1) plugged into the front USB on CarPlay and the person on the other end just stops hearing me. Sometimes it happens right as I answer a call and they can't hear me. Sometimes it happens after a few minutes of talking. Also happens over Bluetooth. Did you ever find a solution?

I am having this problem too. It is almost like my phone goes on mute. Any solutions?

Same issues! Black touring AWD. iPhone X.

Anyone have a fix? Or root cause? If you have the Apple car play problem, what trim do you have? If you don’t have the Apple car play issue, what trim do you have?

I have the Emerald Forest touring AWD and iPhone X.
