i did the same as you sending out emails to the 3 closest dealers on identical sticker vehicles. told them plus tax and tags. one wasnt even close and only moved 500 off sticker other 2 were over 2800 off sticker. went to lowest one which was closest to house. told them i had a trade and if they low balled i would leave. came in better than i thought and then went 250.00 more on the trade.they wanted the financing and as i said in above post they beat my credit union so i gave it to them. i added the all weather matts and lighted steps after the deal was done. one of the easiest new car purchases i have done. no games or dealer tricks or pressure. picked it up that afternoon after steps were installed. join the credit union but dont apply for the loan yet to see if they can beat or match it
