I wish someone would actually do a before and after dyno instead of a butt one. Some intakes actually give less HP and torque vs stock airbox.

I can confirm the AEM cold air intake made for Ridgelines/Pilots fits Passports perfectly. I had one on the ridgeline I traded for my Passport and swapped it over easily. Definitely feel it in the butt dyno, vtec sounds awesome, and the intake sounds even cooler on the passport due to the sportier oem exhaust. Gives it a nice growl at low rpms.

guess because I am a scientist and if I'm going to spend that kind of money on a "minor part" I'd like to see the torque and HP graph before and after. And I've seen before and after data where a CAI actually made less HP and torque vs the stock airbox. The S2000 comes to mind.

Why would someone go to all the trouble of dyno testing before and after for such a minor part? Come on now. AEM has loads of dyno charts on their site for every application.

and I guess the scientific aspect I have would like to see independent data. which part of that is vague to you. I can claim 100hp gains.....if you don't verify, what's the point?

I've been modding cars for a long long time. I've been driving them on the road since I was in sixth grade.

and they make FWD Passports. I'd really like to know if it really works because some CAI don't for certain vehicles.

The level of trolly entitlement emanating from your keyboard is astounding. Your armchair commentary is juvenile.

It says estimated because every car is different and many will test lower or higher depending on the car and conditions. They provide dyno charts for similar vehicles for reference.

Even if I went and dyno’d my own car, it could still test differently from yours. You’re a scientist, you should know that.

We’re talking about a $300 part on a $40000 vehicle, good for only 5% gains. So again, who cares?

There are very few Passports on the road and most are driven by people who have no glimmer of how performance mods work.

This isnt honda-tech with millions of civic owners testing every single part.

Rather than moaning about independent lab tests you should be thanking first adopters like 407guy and me for taking on the time and risk to verify these parts even fit our cars rather than moaning we didnt do a dyno test.

FYI there isnt an awd dyno within 500 miles of me and that’s generally the case unless youre on the coasts.

You’re a scientist...how about you put your money where your mouth is and test one yourself. That is, if you actually care about the mod or even own a passport.

and there is literally a 21 page forum thread on the ridgeline forum asking about problems with idle after installing the intake.....people refuting the 13hp claimed gains from AEM, people saying the stock intake is essentially a CAI which it is and some saying their 0-60 times increased and fuel economy decreased after installing it.
