I noticed some people are suggesting the new Passport's interior looks dated and dull but its not that bad when compared to what its closest rivals are doing. However, the only winner in this segment with interior design to me is, the 4Runner.

Am I seeing a push button shifter? I know this cleans up the look of the center console, but I haven't been a big fan of them in the past.
Yep. Not a big fan of that either. And it's not like they saved a lot of space. They could've installed an actual shifter/knob and would have been fine. I just like physical action of moving a lever vs pushing a button for the transmission.

I've never NOT had a shift lever and I actually like the idea of not having a big lever and handle to bump into. Same with the speedometer, I've never had a digital one, but it will be much better at figuring out your speed that a conventional one.

In the back, I love that the seat fold down perfectly flat, it will be awesome for loading up my camping gear and for throwing down a foam pad and sleeping back there. Also: I am hoping to mount a small safe in the other recessed area, just to the left and behind the big "trunk".

I have always had a shifter also. It gives me a place to put my right hand besides the armrest which is also missing as Honda decided to go with the smallish seat attached things that break off in time.
And where is the 360 degree camera system?

Couldn't find the video, but Bird's Eye View is listed on the Official Honda Announcement (Press Release) made on Nov 27th, it's down towards the bottom and it says it is standard on ALL models...!
I believe that's just part of the multi-angle rear view camera. They have a mode that looks straight down towards the bumper / trailer hitch but it's still only showing the rear of the vehicle, not 360.

You are right. The Birdseye view pertains only to the multi view rear camera only. Honda chose not to include this important feature for their new model. A deal breaker for those of us who already use this system everyday. That’s too bad. I really wanted that blue Elite model.

Not really sure why Honda does this to other features (and sometimes just to their US versions of vehicles).
Add it on the higher trim levels or as an option to give the consumer what they want.

The Pilot/Ridgeline/Odyssey/Passport platform is already a bit behind with Honda Sensing features. The Civic/Accord/CR-V have full range adaptive cruise with stop-and-go but the Pilot family only go down to 25mph.

We probably won't see major feature changes until the next full Pilot platform update, which since the Pilot just got its MMC will most likely be a couple of years away.

I'm done trying to figure our Honda's logic but I do know that they just want to sell as many models as they can and do it quickly. The 360 camera doesn't seem like a difficult thing to do from the factory, 2 mirror cameras, 1 grill camera, tie it all in with existing camera in the rear, then connect them to the entertainment screen via a processor.

Yeah....not sure why they do (or don't do it) this way.

Mazda has power folding mirrors and 360 view cameras.
*Note that the quality of the 360 view is not the best....but hey, at least they offer it.
